Year 4 Faith Formation Retreat
Last Thursday, our Year 4 students attended a Faith Formation Retreat Day at Carroll College. Along with Year 4 students from St Bernards, they participated in games, scripture responses and activities to strengthen their faith and understanding of the sacrament of Eucharist.

Operation Christmas Child
Our Mini Vinnies team is excited to be leading Operation Christmas Child this year. Each class will be filling a shoe box with small gifts and useful items to be sent to children in need around the world, in time for Christmas.

Over the coming weeks, students will have the chance to contribute items such as new and unused toys, school supplies, clothing, art and craft supplies, sports equipment, games and hygiene products to help brighten a child’s Christmas. Items are being collected up until Monday 20 October.

A video made by our Mini Vinnies team explains this further: https://youtu.be/6QkS2qnfJh8?si=vYzpNB8yAIxQSFIy

On Wednesday 24 September (Week 10) Mini Vinnies will be holding a Crazy Hair Day. Students can come dressed in mufti clothes with crazy hair for a gold coin donation. The money raised will go towards our Operation Christmas Child project.

Thank you for supporting our students as they put their faith into action through this wonderful initiative.

Blessed Carlo Acutis
This weekend, the Church celebrates the canonisation of Blessed Carlo Acutis, a young Italian teenager who dedicated his short life to sharing his love of Jesus, especially through the Eucharist. Carlo used his passion for computers and technology to create a website documenting Eucharistic miracles around the world, showing how faith can be lived and shared in modern ways. Remarkably, Carlo will become the first saint of the digital age;  the first modern-day saint since the invention of digital technology. His canonisation reminds us that holiness is possible for everyone, no matter their age, and that using our everyday gifts can bring us closer to God. As a school, this is a special time to reflect on how we too can use our talents, like Carlo, to live our faith and share God’s love in our world today. More information will be shared in classrooms about this, and you can read more about him here: https://carloacutis-en.org/
